During the course of his career, Laurence Shanet has had the honor of dancing with both Britney Spears and Bob Dole, helped teach hundreds of New York cab drivers how to flip the bird, and been intimate with an 800-pound black bear.
An award-winning director (and also writer and creative director), Laurence got his start in advertising working with some of the world's most prestigious ad agencies before embarking on his directorial career.
With an affinity for directing performances, and comedy in particular, Laurence has brought smiles to people's faces for brands such as Starburst, H&R Block, Walmart, Visa, Disney, LG Electronics, Powerball Lotto, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Skittles, Green Giant, and many more.
He is also active in the television world, having helmed high profile pilots and worked on a variety of network programming.
Laurence is a past winner of the Young Director Award at the Cannes Lion International Advertising Festival, was listed among the industry's Top 10 "Directors to Watch," and has had his work placed in the Museum of Modern Art's permanent audio-visual collection. And his advertising work has won Cannes Lions, AICP, Clios, One Show Pencils, and Best in Show at the ADDYs.
